Thoracic Outlet Syndrome occurs when the blood vessels and/or nerves in the collabone and first rib are compressed/irritated, which causes pain and numbness in the neck, shoulder, and fingers.
The cause of this can be as complex as an extra rib, scar tissue, or a cyst, but most often is due to an injury from an accident, repetitive movment, or poor posture.
If compression of these structures is causing you pain, the solution can be as easy as releasing tension in the muscles, restoring joint motion, and therapeutic exercises to reestablish joint control.
At NeuroEdge Chiropractic we start with a detailed exam to determine the source of the problem, then work with you to determine what therapies are best for you.
