Low Back Pain

You Aren't Alone

Lower back pain is one of the most common problems plaguing people in the United States. It is also one of the most common reasons that people take off work. Lower back pain can be caused by a variety of reasons, whether you had a sudden injury out of no where, or there has been a pain and tightness that has been there and just keeps growing. When an injury happens our bodies start to compensate for it, subtly altering the way we move . In order to stop the cycle of pain and compensation, we need to break the cycle by relaxing the area, restoring motion, and re-teaching the body how to move.

Sciatica

Leg Pain

Sciatica is a very specific type of leg pain, that extends all the way down the back of your leg. It is due to the sciatic nerve or one of it's roots being irritated. This can happen when a disc applies pressure or when muscles in the lower back or hip irritate a portion of the nerve somewhere along it's path. We treat sciatica by determining where the nerve is being irritated and respond by reducing the inflammation, relaxing the muscles, and stabilizing the region with targeted therapeutic exercises.

Neck Pain

It's More Than Just Stress

Neck pain is another one of the most common types of pain that we all experience. Neck pain is often caused by a loss of effective teamwork between all of the muscles in the neck, upper back and shoulders. The result is that irritating and sometimes disabilitating feeling in your neck. The first step to solving the problem is to determining why the inflammation/pain is there and then devising an accurate plan that is geared towards your movement patterns.

Headaches

Experiencing headaches can be aggravating and tiresome. Thankfully the answer may be as simple as muscle tightness and joint dysfunction. The different areas that the muscles in your neck and upper back attach to can often times lead to pain located in various spots of your head. These areas include the back, sides, top, or front of your head, and even behind your eyes. The solution to these kinds of headaches is to address the muscles and joints that are referring the pain to the head, then re-establish your ability to control the muscles and joints in your neck.

Radiculopathy & Neuropathy

Like Sciatica But Somewhere Else

Just like sciatica, radiculopathy occurs the nerve root or nerve is compressed, irritated, or damaged somewhere along it's path. Numbness and tingling in the an arm or leg is often times the most common symptom, but it can also feel like a sharp or burning pain. Herniated disc's and muscular irritation/compression are two types of issues that can cause this. Treating the musculoskeletal system with conservative therapy like chiropractic is the best way to deal with these sources of pain.

Extremity Pain

Shoulder, Elbow, Wrist, Hip, Knee, Ankle

When most people think of a chiropractor they think of the spine, but we can help anywhere that there is a joint or muscle. Inefficient and imbalanced movement patterns can lead to pain anywhere muscles and joints are, including the joints in your arms and legs. Assessing and interpreting these movements is crucial to determining the cause of your pain and how to effectively treat it.
